Food Pantry & Nutrition

Food is a vital part of your HIV treatment. Everyone should have access to fresh, nutritious food to gain the strength they need to thrive and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our food pantries are an essential component in our HIV Medical Home. We aim to ensure you get the food and nutrition you need to process HIV medications more easily, make your immune system stronger, improve your oral health and foster your overall health and HIV treatment success.

Serving Patients With Dignity

鶹Ů food pantries are located in all of our locations. Our professional staff will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve. Our client choice model, in place at each food pantry, means you can shop from a menu and choose the foods you like instead of items being pre-selected for you.

Our Registered Dietitians provide 鶹Ů food pantries with guidance on the best foods for patients living with HIV. With this information, we stock foods that are fresh, nutritious and high in protein and vitamin content. Foods commonly available include:

  • Fresh produce
  • Dairy—milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt
  • Selection of chicken, beef, pork, fish
  • Bread
  • Canned and dried fruits, vegetables, beans, soups, and other proteins
  • Cereal, pasta, rice and other whole grains
  • When available: frozen prepared meals, vegan, vegetarian, non-dairy and other dietary options
  • Household and personal hygiene options
